Following a demonstration at Blackwood Ovens at the Dawnvale head office, the team at Bartle Hall contacted us to discuss building a new outdoor kitchen area. Their aspiration was clear: to elevate the wedding experience at their venue by transforming their stunning grounds into an enchanting al fresco dining haven, ensuring each celebration is truly exceptional.

The design was critical to ensure the look was sympathetic to the current surroundings, while the operational design had to cope with the volume of customers and maintain the high food standards expected. We began with a careful design process, creating a 3D render to ensure the client was happy with how the build would harmonise with the aesthetic of the grounds and complement the Cheshire brick.

Our build team started by creating concrete pad foundations to support a steel goalpost structure that held the roof. We constructed two brick pillars to cover the steel columns and installed flooring ready for the kitchen. Given that this kitchen stood apart from the main building, we made accommodations for water and electricity.

We completed the kitchen area with a natural stone frontage and a quartz countertop. For the theatre-style cooking suite, Blackwood Ovens were chosen to supply the wood-burning pizza ovens, robata grill, and wood-burning smoker.

With the new outdoor kitchen, authentic Neapolitan pizzas, smoked ribs, chicken, and delicious burgers are all now on the menu for wedding guests to enjoy. This diverse and high-quality offering ensures that every guest at Bartle Hall can savour a memorable dining experience.
